yep. it's really been 4 months since we updated the
site! yikes! i am so sorry! (especially to my friend
kim, who taylor kept harassing to update their family's
adoption site).
well, it's been a very busy, but very wonderful 4 months having kai-le with us finally, after an almost 18-month wait.
the transition to home and family is going very smoothly. nothing short of a miracle, as was the whole adoption process. God has truly blessed us every step of the way, and He continues to do so much more than we could ever imagine.
since she's been home, kai-le has settled into life with mom, dad, 3 sisters and a brother. we've been busy unpacking boxes and organizing stuff; we just finished with homeschool for the year; charlie's been working hard; and i've been trying to keep up with the toddler set (3 kids ages 3, 2, 1). yep. i'm usually in the dust..... it's a good life! and unfortunately, these toddler years will be gone all too quickly.
everyone is enjoying our new home, which we have affectionately named, "the gingerbread house at piney acres".
we've got great neighbors, lots of beautiful trees, the house is cozy, and the yard is so fun! plenty of orange, virginia clay for the kids to romp in!
i'm hoping to have a little bit more time now for updating the site. we'll see about that.... no promises, k? but we'll see what i can do.
